Concrete Contractor in Hermosa Beach - Slabs Built on Solid Ground
Bedrock Hermosa Beach Concrete is a concrete contractor based in Hermosa Beach. We build driveways, patios, walkways, steps and foundations for homeowners here, starting with the ground under the slab so the finished concrete stays level.

Concrete work in Hermosa Beachfrom the ground up
We're based in Hermosa Beach and work here and across the South Bay, including Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach and Torrance. Most of it is flatwork, the driveways, patios and walks that lie flat on the ground, along with footings and foundations.
The price depends on the size of the slab, how much old concrete comes out, the base work underneath and the finish you choose. The schedule depends on any permit your job needs and on curing, the wait before new concrete is ready to use. Your written estimate gives you your own figure.
Call (424) 414-1585 or send the form, and I'll come out to look at your project for a free estimate.
Concrete services in Hermosa Beachfor your house and yard
Here's the work we do on Hermosa Beach properties, from the slab out front to the footings under an addition.
- Concrete driveway building If your driveway has cracked or sunk, we replace it and dig out and pack the base before we pour.
- Concrete patio construction Backyard patios graded so rain runs away from your house, not toward the back door.
- Stamped concrete services For front walks and patios, stamped patterns give you the look of stone without loose pieces to shift.
- Concrete sidewalk building Walkways from the street to your door, set level so the sections don't lift and catch a toe.
- Garage floor concrete When a garage floor has cracked or turned dusty after years of parking, we pour a new one flat so the door seals.
- Decorative concrete Colored and textured finishes for entries and yards, chosen once we've got the base underneath right.
- Concrete retaining walls Where a yard steps up or down, a retaining wall holds the soil back and gives you flat, usable ground.
- Concrete floor installation Interior slabs for additions and remodels, finished flat enough that the flooring goes down without a fight.
- Concrete pool decks Pool decks with a broom finish, a lightly brushed texture that helps wet feet keep their grip.
- Concrete steps construction Old front or back steps that have settled or broken apart, rebuilt with even risers.
- Slab foundation building We pour slab foundations level and square, so the framing and everything after it goes up straight.
- Foundation installation Foundations for new homes and additions, laid out so the next trade can build without shimming.
- Concrete parking lot building Small property owners get parking areas sloped to drain and built thick enough for daily traffic.
- Concrete footings Footings for walls, decks and additions, the concrete feet that carry the load down into firm soil.
- Foundation raising If the ground under your house has settled, we lift the sunken foundation back toward level.
- Concrete cutting Clean saw cuts for doorways, utility trenches or taking out one damaged section without breaking the rest.
Why Hermosa Beach calls usand keeps our number
You talk with me from the first visit through pour day, and I explain each step before we take it, so you know what's under the slab as well as what's on top.
Licensed, insured and on site
We're licensed and insured, and I write every estimate myself, then pour beside the crew. Satisfaction guaranteed on every job.
The base gets the budget first
If the budget is tight, I'd rather trim the finish than the base, because the subgrade, the packed ground the slab sits on, decides whether it settles.
Joints cut where cracks belong
Concrete shrinks as it cures, so we cut control joints, shallow grooves that give it a straight place to crack, on time instead of late.
Foundations the framers can trust
I framed houses before I moved to concrete, so I know how much a level, square foundation helps every trade that builds on it.
A clean site and a clear street
We keep the street and your neighbors' driveways clear while we work and leave your site clean, because your neighbors live with our job too.
From your call to curinghow a Bedrock job runs
I'm the one who looks after your job from the first visit to the final walkthrough, so you never have to pass questions between people or wonder who to ask.
You call or write
Call (424) 414-1585 or send the form with a few lines about your driveway, patio or foundation, and we'll set a time for me to come out.
We walk the site
I walk the site with you and talk through what you'd like and what the city's Building and Safety Division may ask for. Then you get a written estimate.
Forms, grade and the pour
Once you approve, we handle any permit, set the forms and check the grade before concrete arrives. The city allows work weekdays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 to 5.
Walkthrough before we go
Before we leave, I go over curing with you, how long to wait before walking or driving on the slab, and how to look after it.
What Hermosa Beach ground asksbefore we dig or pour
The ground and the older houses here add a few steps to some jobs, and these are the ones we plan for.
Groundwater close below
In some areas groundwater sits six to 15 feet down, and the city warns basement digging near the coast can flood, so we plan deep work carefully.
A soil report up front
The city asks for a geotechnical report, a study of the soil, before construction starts, so I bring it up at the first visit.
Houses built before 1980
Before the city issues a permit, work that disturbs 100 square feet of surface on a pre-1980 house needs an asbestos survey or abatement permit.

Our work in Hermosa Beachwhere this business started
I started this business in Hermosa Beach in 2021, and most calls here come from homeowners, along with some builders and small property owners. Much of what we replace is a driveway or walk that has cracked, sunk or started holding water, and doing it right starts with the dirt underneath.
Two city offices are behind most jobs here. Building and Safety plan-checks projects and issues building permits, and the Revenue Services Division handles business licenses, which have to be renewed every year.
